Corrections to Rosebud hospital equipment article
In the Jan. 3 issue of the Didsbury Review, staff writer Madison Samuel-Barclay was so kind to report on recent purchases of the Rosebud Health Foundation.
Unfortunately through the short phone interview, there were a few misunderstandings. The item on list, reported as a high pressure meter, should have been called an eye pressure meter (Tetonometer).
The second item that I would like to draw attention to is the Vern Good Room. This room was refurbished with the funds from sale of tickets to the Vern Good retirement event organized by Vern Good’s law firm partners in November of 2010.
Thirdly, I would like to clarify that the Rosebud Health Foundation does not make donations to the hospital. The foundation makes purchases of medical equipment for the hospital with donated or raised funds from the community. I cannot give enough credit and thanks to the community for its support of the Rosebud Health Foundation which enables the foundation’s board of directors to make these very expensive but necessary purchases to keep our hospital a state-of-the-art facility.
On another note, the Annual General Meeting of the foundation will take place in the hospital Education Conference Room, Jan. 31 at 7.30 p.m. Doctor Brunner and Penny Farley will be our guest speakers. Please come and listen and get involved.
Sincerely,
Clem Kuelker, Chairperson
Rosebud Health Foundation
