Police probe theft from vehicle

Didsbury RCMP is investigating a theft from a parked vehicle.

Sgt. Jeff Jacobson said sometime between 5 p.m. on June 22 and 10 a.m. on June 23 a person or persons entered a parked Ford 150 pickup truck on Westpoint Drive.

He said it is not known whether the culprit or culprits broke into the vehicle.

Jacobson said a radar detector, iPod and a credit card were stolen.

Mountain bike stolen

Police are seeking the public’s assistance into the theft of a mountain bicycle.

RCMP received a report that the bike was stolen from a Mary Place residence sometime between 7 p.m. on June 19 and 8 p.m. on June 21.

Jacobson said the colour and model of the bike was a silver Giant Rock. He said the bike had a dark green tow-behind baby carrier that had a yellow zipper.

Vehicle vandalism investigated

RCMP is probing a case of deliberate damage to a parked vehicle.

Sometime between 7 p.m. on June 21 and 8 a.m. on June 22 at a residence on 14 Street, someone walked by a brown GMC Sierra parked in the driveway and kicked the driver’s rear quarter panel. Police said the kick caused a dent to the vehicle.

Residential garage egged

Police are trying to determine who splattered eggs on the garage of a town home.

Sometime between 5 p.m. on June 20 and 4 p.m. on June 21 the garage of a residence on the 2100 block of 14 Avenue was vandalized with an egg attack, leaving a mess, said RCMP.

Vehicle destroys residential tree

RCMP is trying to find out who is responsible for driving onto a residential lawn and running over and destroying a tree.

Police said the incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on June 23 and 11 a.m. on June 24. During that time frame a vehicle drove onto the lawn of a residence in the 2000 block of 16 Avenue. The vehicle toppled a tree, which was destroyed on impact.

RCMP said significant damage was caused to the vehicle as several parts of it were left on the lawn. Police believe the vehicle was a small black car.

RCMP said whoever was responsible should have reported the incident to police.
